David Turnbull will be available for Celtic in next weekend's derby clash against Rangers.
There was a suggestion from some quarters that the playmaker could have been hauled in front of an SFA disciplinary panel after sweeping away Aberdeen midfielder Lewis Ferguson's legs after the whistle had gone in the two sides' 1-1 draw on Wednesday night.
Turnbull was yellow-carded by referee Willie Collum at the time but some observers believed it was worthy of a red.
It all came down to how the official witnessed the incident, with the possibility to upgrade the caution to a sending-off had his view been obstructed.
The flashpoint was compared to a situation earlier in the season when Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos caught Dundee United's Mark Connolly with a forearm and was booked, only to receive two matches on the sidelines.
But it has emerged that Collum saw the Turnbull incident in full on this occasion and as a result there won't be any further action.
That means interim boss John Kennedy will be free to include Turnbull in his squad to face the champions on May 2, the final Premiership meeting between the two sides before the end of the season.
