David Turnbull hits Celtic interview giggles as Scott Brown antics leave star struggling to hold it together

Scott Brown's off-camera antics left David Turnbull struggling to keep his composure following Celtic's win over Ross County.

Turnbull bagged his first Premiership goal during Wednesday night's comfortable 2-0 victory at Parkhead.

The midfielder was up for club media duty after the full-time whistle but keeping a straight face in front of the camera proved to be his most difficult task of the evening.

Speaking to Celtic TV, he manfully attempts to continue answering questions as an, initially unknown, gatecrasher attempts to put him off.

The interviewer eventually reveals Turnbull's tormentor as Brown, admitting: "I know the captain's behind us at the moment."

The 21-year-old just about makes it to the end in time to pick up the man of the match award for his display against the Staggies.

Meanwhile, boss Neil Lennon saluted Turnbull's decisive strike and insists Celtic are due to give an opponent "a good going over" in the coming weeks.

He said: “David’s was a great goal.

“Jerry (Frimpong) did very well to pick David out and he has the knack of being in the right place at the right time.

“Overall he had another very good performance. I am delighted with him.

“Jerry was also a real plus and (Diego) Laxalt was very good for us. The two centre halves also played really well and I am happy with the clean sheet.

“Odsonne (Edouard) should have scored too and we missed some chances to rack up a really good scoreline.

“The quality of the chances we made really pleased me. We should have won the game by more.

“If we keep playing like that we’re going to give somebody a right good going over."
