David Turnbull says no-one was surprised by Tom Rogic's wonderful finish against Motherwell.
And he heaped praise on skipper Callum McGregor for calling the shots in the build-up.
Turnbull filled in as an auxiliary striker with Kyogo, Albian Ajeti and Giorgos Giakoumakis all sidelined with injury.
And he played a key role in Celtic 's winner as he cleverly laid off Rogic from a set-piece on the brink of half-time.
When asked on Celtic TV if he enjoyed the unfamiliar position, Turnbull said he did - even if it was a "tough shift."
He said: "It was different having to press the goalkeeper and stand in front of him when he was taking goal kicks.
"It was a tough shift and it was something different and I didn't mind that but it was tough to get into it but I didn't mind it for a wee change."
Asked about the winner, he says it was a super finish from his Australian teammate - but singled out McGregor for telling him where to put it in the first place.
"It's a great finish from Tom - we know what he can do," he went on.
"I also need to give a shout out to Cal as he was the one who said to me to play it to Tom.
"I was going to cross the ball into the box but I played it to Tom and he slotted it away and we know what to expect from him."
