David Turnbull continues Motherwell injury recovery as Celtic target scores outrageous training goal

Motherwell star David Turnbull showed he's well on the road to recovery after knee surgery, by pinging in a sensational strike in training.

The midfielder was on the verge of joining Celtic in the summer, but the deal collapsed after an issue was flagged up in his medical.

Turnbull returned to Motherwell to have surgery, and only made his comeback against St Mirren on Tuesday night.

But the Scotland Under-21 international showed he's lost none of his talent, pinging in a goal from inside his own half in training.

Turnbull made his debut at the end of the 2017-18 season, but exploded onto the scene last term.

The 20-year-old scored 15 goals in 30 games and was awarded SWFA Young Player of the Year.

Celtic had an offer of over £3million accepted in June, following a transfer tug-of-war with Norwich City, but the deal didn't go through due to a pre-existing knee problem.
