David Tennant will voice Scrooge McDuck on the new 'DuckTales' series

The cast of Disney's upcoming "DuckTales" reboot has been announced.

David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye and Kate Micucci were assembled for a video reveal with the stars of the new series singing the fan-favorite "DuckTales" theme song.

Tennant ("Doctor Who," "Marvel's Jessica Jones") will voice Scrooge McDuck, the super-wealthy, rough and gruff businessduck and adventurer (who speaks with a Scottish accent) whose hobbies including taking a swim in his vault of money.

Scrooge's mischievous triplet grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie will be voiced by Pudi ("Community"), Schwartz ("Parks and Recreation," "House of Cards") and Moynihan ("Saturday Night Live," "We Bare Bears"), respectively.

Bennett ("Saturday Night Live") has been tapped to voice Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge's pilot, who in the original series was not always the best when it came to landing planes, while Olagundoye ("The Neighbors," "Castle") will play Mrs. Beakley, Scrooge's maid and a nanny of sorts to Huey, Dewey and Louie.

Micucci (Oates of Garfunkel and Oates, "Steven Universe") rounds out the cast as Mrs. Beakley's granddaughter Webby Vanderquack.

Other classic "DuckTales" characters also slated to appear in the new show include Donald Duck, Flintheart Glomgold, Gyro Gearloose, Duckworth, Gizmoduck, Magica DeSpell, Gladstone Gander and Ma Beagle and the Beagle Boys.

The original "DuckTales" premiered in 1987 and ran through 1990. The new series, which will air on Disney XD, is set to premiere in summer 2017. "Ben 10: Omniverse" alum Matt Youngberg will serve as executive producer, while the story editor and co-producer is Francisco Angones ("Wander Over Yonder"). The art director is "Garvity Falls" alum Sean Jimenez.
