David Tennant 's son Ty could make history if he follows in the footsteps of his dad and granddad by landing the leading role in Doctor Who.
Ty, 17, is the son of Tenth Doctor David, 48, and his wife Georgia, 35, who is the daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison, 68.
And now that he's embarking on his own acting career, he's imagined what it could be like to become a third generation Doctor.
When asked if he ever fancied himself as a Time Lord, Ty told The Sunday Post : "I don’t think I would ever decline the offer.
"Doctor Who is such a massive thing to take on.
"Whoever is truly right for it will get the role. If I am granted that, I will certainly do my best."
Ty has already landed acting roles in Casualty and Tolkien.
He's also set to star in sci-fi thriller War Of The Worlds alongside Downton Abbey's Elizabeth McGovern.
And he's just the latest to enter into the family business after attending acting classes led by his grandfather and grandmother Sandra Dickinson, who starred in the 1980s TV adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Ty said: "I suppose they taught me how to act - and my mum and dad as well.
"It has always been a part of me, thinking maybe I should follow in the family footsteps as there are lots of actors in there."
Doctor Who is particularly special to the family.
It's during David's tenure as The Doctor, from 2005 to 2010, that he met his wife Georgia Moffett.
They met when she starred alongside him in episode The Doctor's Daughter in 2008, in which she played his genetically-engineered offspring.
They married in 2011.
David and Georgia are also parents to Olive, eight, Wilfred, six, and Doris, four, and a fifth baby, who they welcomed in October last year.
The couple have not revealed the name or gender of their latest bundle of joy, but have shared that the little one is already a Doctor Who fan.
Back in November, Georgia shared an adorable picture of her baby watching dad in the BBC show.
"Indoctorination," Georgia captioned the snap.
One fan commented: "Aw, teaching the baby well."
Another said: "Yassss Georgia!! Getting them started early."
And another wrote: "Too cute for words!!!"
