David Tennant made a rare public appearance with his teenage daughter Olive just weeks after his wife Georgia faced death threats.

Georgia recently revealed she was forced to contact the police after receiving vile messages on social media, not long after an alleged stalker reportedly offered a reward for her murder.

Tennant pushed his personal woes aside on Sunday night, as he attended the opening night of Paddington: The Musical with Olive at London's Savoy Theatre on Sunday.

The Doctor Who star, 54, looked stylish on the red carpet in a checked coat teamed with a knitted sweater and smart trousers.

Olive, who is a budding actress, posed next to her famous father in a navy shirt and black skirt.

The 14-year-old made her film debut in 2021's Belfast opposite Dame Judi Dench and Jamie Dornan before going on star in the TV series Avoidance with Romesh Ranganathan.

Tennant is also father to Wilfred, 12, Doris, 10, and Birdie, five, with Georgia, 40, as well as 23-year-old son Ty from her previous relationship.

Paddington: The Musical, which features music from McFly star Tom Fletcher, tells the story of the bear’s adventures in London.

Last month, Georgia Tennant revealed she called the police after getting death threats, sharing screenshots of some of the abusive messages on her Instagram story.

She and David have been outspoken supporters of the LGBTQ+ community, particularly trans people, in recent years.

However, their advocacy has also made them targets of online abuse from anonymous users.

The posts included explicit insults and death threats, with one message branding her a “dirty w****” who should “die for good.”

Some of the messages also made false references to her relationship status, with one describing her as the “ex-wife of David Tennant” and another calling her “disgusting” and telling her to “return to the streets.”

Tennant tagged both the Metropolitan Police and Instagram in her posts, calling for action to be taken against the users behind the harassment.

The incident comes just weeks after she revealed she’d been targeted by an alleged stalker who reportedly offered a reward for her murder.

She called on Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg to take action after receiving a post that read: “Whoever kills Georgia Tennant immediately will receive a reward from me.”

Sharing the message on social media, she wrote: “Just been sent this by a friend. Out of curiosity, Facebook — what would constitute a breach of community standards?”

She later posted a screenshot of the platform’s moderator response, which stated that the message did not violate its rules and therefore would not be removed.

Georgia and David stepped out publicly just weeks after the ordeal, walking the red carpet at the Bafta Scotland Awards.
