David Tennant dyes hair red in preparation for Good Omens season two

Filming on the much anticipated season two of hit comedy Good Omens has started.

And right on cue David Tennant has dyed his hair red to play the pesky demon again.

The second series will see Michael Sheen and Tennant reprise their roles as angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley.

The show is based on Neil Gaiman’s book of the same name and follows Tennant and Sheen as representatives of Heaven and Hell as they try to stop the arrival of the Antichrist and stop Armageddon.

Director Douglas Mackinnon shared a sneak peek of Sheen and Tennant’s white and red locks respectively as they return to their characters.

David's wife Georgia Tennant also shared a photo of her husband's hairdo on Instagram, and this sent fans into a frenzy.

One fan commented: "ITS HAPPENING EVERYONE STAY CALM STAY CLAM"

Another said: "Oh yeeees! Crowley is definitely back! Thank you Georgia."

A third wrote: "1) FINALLY GINGER, 2) OH MY GOD CROWLEY'S BACK."

The fans aren't the only ones excited to see the pair back in costume, with Sheen telling fans on Twitter that seeing Aziraphale again made him “quite emotional”.

“Little bit wobbly seeing him in the mirror again. but then just had to get on with it. Softly,” he added.

As season two was first announced in June 2021, Gaiman revealed that sets were already being built in Scotland and that filming will be taking place soon.

Fans can likely expect to see Good Omens season two by the end of 2022, or early 2023.
