David Silva 'makes decision' on Man City future

David Silva has no intention of leaving Manchester City this summer, according to reports.

The midfielder enters the final year of his City deal in July after nine seasons at the club, and Japanese club Vissel Kobe are said to be interested in his services.

Silva's former Spain teammates Andrés Iniesta and David Villa are on the books at the J1 League outfit but The Times report that Silva, 33, is intent on seeing out his current City contract.

The midfielder spearheaded City's domestic-treble success last season, scoring 10 goals in 50 appearances, as City retained the Premier League title for the first time in their history.

It was a 10th City trophy for Silva, and the former Valencia playmaker says the Blues' league success, in which they pipped Liverpool to the post by a single point, was the most taxing of his four league titles to date.

"In terms of titles, yes," he said. "We've won more than ever before but we've played well in other seasons, too.

"The club is growing more and more every year and now we're looking for success in the Champions League.

"The Champions League is more difficult because it's a knockout competition. If you lose concentration in a game you can be knocked out and that's what happened to us.

"The league is more regular, you've got the whole year and we've been lucky enough to win the two cups."
