David Seaman names Newcastle legend in his top two greatest ever players

Former England goalkeeper David Seaman has name dropped Paul Gascoigne as one of the best players he's ever played with.

The ex-Arsenal and Man City goalkeeper revealed all during an interview with TalkSPORT, citing Geordie star Gazza as one of the best he's ever graced the pitch with.

The pair were teammates during their time with England as they made it to the semi-finals at Euro 96, with the Newcastle academy graduate one of the standout figures in the tournament.

Seaman believes if Gazza had produces his performances over a longer period of time he'd be considered his best ever.

Nonetheless, the former Arsenal goalkeeper was unable to choose between Gazza and his former teammate Thierry Henry.

Seaman told TalkSPORT: "This is hard. Straight away I would say Gazza because he was so special and he produced his best, but he didn't do it for long enough for me.

"So in that respect - Thierry [Henry] was just fantastic. He was like a Rolls Royce.

"He had so many gears, and looked so cool and so smooth. Him and Gazza are my two real favourites. Obviously Gazza through England and that."
