David Prutton makes his prediction for QPR's trip to face Derby County

Derby County should have too much for Queens Park Rangers when the two sides meet in the Championship this afternoon (Saturday).

That's the verdict of Sky Sports pundit David Prutton, who has made his prediction ahead of the contest.

QPR make the trip to the Midlands to face a Derby side still harbouring hopes of reaching the play-offs in the Championship, with the Rs needing one more win to mathematically ensure their survival.

QPR provide injury update on Jordan Cousins and it's good news for John Eustace's side

But Prutton does not think they will get it against Frank Lampard's men, who currently sit three points outside of the top six with a game in hand.

"We've spoken all too many times, over the past five years or so, about Derby's constant ability to scupper their chances of promotion to the Premier League for the first time since the 2007/08 season, but this time I think Frank Lampard has led them to a point where they are really in with a shout," he said in his regular predictions feature for the Sky Sports website.

The QPR team that John Eustace is expected to select against Derby County

"That said, they are struggling to string wins together and haven't won more than one game in succession since early December. They should have enough at Pride Park though."

Prutton has predicted a 2-1 win for Derby.
