David Peralta came so close to pulling a Randy Johnson and hitting a flying bird with a foul ball

Randy Johnson will forever be remembered for having a Hall of Fame career on the mound, but also for hitting a bird with a pitch.

Since that awful moment in spring training decades ago, we’ve seen his name get attached to moments like Zac Gallen hitting a bird with a warmup throw and Will Brennan hitting one with a line drive.

And now? David Peralta almost added himself to the Randy Johnson List, a term I just made up.

The Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder hit a foul ball, and you could see him wince as it nearly became a fowl ball as a flying creature just got away from it:
