David Njoku hopeful he can return in 2019, working hard to get back

David Njoku remains on the Cleveland Browns injured reserve with his broken wrist, but the young tight end seems quite confident he will return during the 2019 season. Njoku was asked about his progress in a press conference on Thursday and if he believes he can return this year.

“For sure,” Njoku said. “I think so. I am doing a great rehab process. Every day I am here working. Hopefully, it works out.”

It turns out Njoku was unaware he broke his wrist during the game. He was trying to get back into the game but was held back because of the concussion symptoms, and that led to the discovery of his wrist wound.

“Yeah, things could have been a little worse so I thank god for that.”

He will be eligible to return from his stint on injured reserve for Week 12.
