David Neres delivers update on his future amid Arsenal and Everton transfer links

Ajax attacker David Neres has admitted that he is interested in a move to the Premier League

The Gunners have been linked with the the 22-year-old wide man who impressed in the Dutch side's run to the Champions League semi-final, scoring against both Real Madrid and Juventus.

But, it wasn't just that competition where he impressed, the left sided player scored eight goals and assisted a further 11 as Ajax lifted the Eredivisie title.

He has attracted interest from around Europe and has most recently been linked with a move to Everton.

Speaking exclusively to our friends at the Liverpool Echo, Neres, admitted a Premier League move interested him.

He said: "Of course the Premier League interests me. It's the best league in the world, and I've always wanted to play there. But I leave all that in God's hands.

"I try to stay focused on what's happening on the pitch, and on the competition I'm playing in. I leave those things to my agents to deal with."

Should Arsenal or Everton decide to move on their interest in the player, they would have to pay a fee in the region of €80m, that is according to Dutch journalist Marcel van Der Kraan.

"Ajax has already received a Chinese offer of fifty million europs for Neres. That bid was immediately swept off the table by Marc Overmars," the journalist told Sky Sports .

"Ajax hopes for a transfer fee of eighty to ninety million euros.

"This is also because Overmars made it clear that it is impossible to perform well again in the Champions League when half the team is sold."
