David Moyes unhappy with Premier League and BT Sport ahead of West Ham vs Manchester United

David Moyes is unhappy with the Premier League and BT Sport over West Ham vs Manchester United's kick-off time due to their Europa Conference League semi-final on Thursday.

The Hammers host AZ Alkmaar next week in the last four of Europe's third competition. Initially, United were set to travel to the London Stadium on Saturday, May 6 for the early kick-off.

But, due to King Charles III's coronation in the capital yesterday, the decision was made to move the match to Sunday at 7pm to avoid a clash with the ceremony at Westminster Abbey. However, Moyes has been left frustrated by the call citing the fact it will interrupt his team's preparations for their next fixture.

In his pre-match press conference, Moyes explained: "The kick-off time isn't exactly going to help us when it comes to our preparations for our game on a Thursday."

"I think European football has kept everybody buoyant, it has kept our heads above the water," he added. "I think it's always going to distract us, as we are in another European semi-final and still have league games to win."

Following defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League, the unusual kick-off time does not affect United's schedule. So far this season, Erik ten Hag has managed to improve the Reds' fortunes.

With the Carabao Cup already in the bag and a FA Cup final to look forward to, Moyes praised Ten Hag's start at Old Trafford. "I think Erik ten Hag is doing a really good job," he said.

"I think it's a club that can nearly run itself. They are used to winning, they have great traditions and are a club full of great honour.

"I don't think it's just one man, I think it's always been in the club. Someone was eventually going to take them back to the top or near the top."
