David Moyes could miss FOURTH West Ham match following positive Coronavirus test

West Ham could be without manager David Moyes for a fourth game at Leicester on Sunday, with doubts over whether he will be ready to return to the dugout following his positive test for Covid-19.

Moyes is understood to be feeling well but, despite completing a 10-day period self-isolation, he is yet to return to the club’s training ground.

West Ham are taking a cautious approach to his reintroduction and his assistant manager, Alan Irvine, was today continuing to take training and media duties.

Irvine has been in the dugout for the past three games after Moyes was sent home following testing just 70 minutes before last week’s Carabao Cup tie with Hull City.

Moyes has kept in contact with his staff via Zoom, while for matches the Scot has been in direct contact with Stuart Pearce on the bench over the phone.

Without Moyes on the touchline, West Ham beat Wolves 4-0 last Sunday. While in isolation, Moyes has been spending time working on recruitment and this morning West Ham finally secured one of their defensive targets when they signed Slavia Prague right-back Valdimir Coufal for £5.5million .
