David Moyes tipped to make West Ham change as Peter Crouch makes Mark Noble claim

Here is your West Ham United morning digest for Tuesday, April 14.

Moyes tipped to hand big role to loanee

David Moyes should hand Grady Diangana a big role at West Ham next season, according to former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan.

Diangana has spent the season on loan at West Brom and Whelan has praised the 'very influential' Hammers' youngster.

Football Insider asked Whelan if Diangana could be given a chance next year at West Ham, and he replied: “It is a definite possibility when you have someone that has been very influential on a team’s promotion and season.

“I do not think David Moyes has seen enough of him. I think he will want to. He will want people he can trust, rely on and win him football matches. Moyes has steadied the ship and I think they will be OK.

“From the start of next season, he will want to look at every single player and make his decision off the back of pre-season. He could be there and be a big part of the plans for David Moyes.”

Crouch makes Noble admission

Peter Crouch has heaped praise on West Ham captain Mark Noble in his column for the Daily Mail.

Noble has never been called up to the England national squad despite making over 400 appearances for the Hammers.

“The one man I’m amazed never got near the senior squad is Mark Noble,” the former Premier League striker said.

“I spoke to him recently about not playing for England and he was relaxed about it, saying he knows his time has probably gone.

“He’s been so consistent over the last decade, he deserved a cap.”

Premier League’s plan to resume season

The Premier League have a target date for the return of the season following the coronavirus postponing English football.

That’s according to a report from ESPN, with June 6 set as a return date for competitive league action.

However, any return to Premier League action will see games played behind closed doors to try and help stop the spread of coronavirus.

As it stands, the UK is currently on lockdown but according to the report, we may be able to see football once again in less than two months.m
