David Moyes has said he will make it "impossible" for the board to not extend his contract at the London Stadium.
The former Manchester United and Everton manager has rejoined the Hammers just 18 months after the club hierarchy decided he was not the man to take them forward.
However, a poor start to the season sees West Ham sitting 17th in the Premier League table, just a point away from the relegation places.
Manuel Pellegrini paid for the sloppy start to the season with his job, and the club have turned to Moyes to try and steady the ship.
Moyes has joined on an 18-month deal, and has revealed that there are clauses in his contract that would lead to an extension - and he says he will be ensuring that comes to pass.
"I certainly do feel I have unfinished business," he told reporters at his press conference.
"I really enjoyed it here last time, I felt by the end we had gone in a positive direction with the players.
"I'd have liked to have developed that but it didn't quite happen. It was great to come in through the doors.
"There is a clause to extend it and I'm going to make it impossible that the clause can't be implemented. That's my plan and I want to carry it out.
"What they are getting with me is an experienced Premier League manager. I have got the biggest win rate.
"If you put it that way, that's what I do. I am coming here to get us wins and the wrong end of the table. The bigger picture is to have a strong, attacking team and all of those things I have to bring to the table."
