David Moyes takes swipe at Man Utd and highlights problems Ole Gunnar Solskjaer faces

David Moyes has hit out at former side Manchester United , claiming the club haven’t progressed since his controversial sacking in 2014.

The Scot was tasked with leading a new era for the Premier League giants after Sir Alex Ferguson called time on his glittering career six years ago.

But Moyes lasted just nine months at the helm, with club chiefs opting to relieve him of his duties after an underwhelming start to his Red Devils tenure.

Since his departure, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho and current boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer have all struggled to return United to their glory days.

And Moyes highlighted the club’s struggles in recent years, suggesting he wasn’t given the time to succeed in Manchester.

“I feel that since I took over to where they are just now, I don’t think there’s an awful lot of difference,” he told TalkSport .

“When I took over it was needing a change and needing a turnaround of players, and that was all going to take time.

“I feel like in the four years or so since I was managing there, it’s probably not moved on much more.

“It’s quite similar, they’re still saying there needs to be changes and has to be things done.

“That time since I left hasn’t been used awfully well.”

United look set to miss out on Champions League football next season, currently sitting sixth in the table, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea with just two games remaining.
