David Moyes set for sensational Everton return as Marco Silva faces sack

Everton are expected to dismiss Marco Silva today and replace him with former boss David Moyes .

The Merseyside club sit in 15th place in the Premier League despite spending significant sums on the likes of Richarlison and Bernard.

A 2-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Norwich at the weekend heaped further pressure on the beleaguered Portuguese.

And The Sun is reporting that majority shareholder Farshad Moshiri has now decided to draw a line under his tenure

Moyes originally left the club after 11 seasons to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United in 2013.

The move quickly turned sour although replacing such a legendary figure was arguably a poisoned chalice.

He will be given until the end of the season to stake a claim for the job with the potential for a two year contract on the table should he turn the club around.

With an expensively assembled squad at his proposal, and the club only sitting five points from fifth place, Moyes has a great opportunity to make an impact at Goodison.
