David Moyes has questioned the integrity of the Premier League after handing Manchester United a gruelling fixture schedule that sees them face two of West Ham's top-four rivals inside 48 hours.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's side are in action on Tuesday night against Leicester City following their 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday and will then have to play Liverpool on Thursday too.
The Manchester United boss hit out at the Premier League's scheduling, promising sweeping changes to his team across the two matches against Leicester and Liverpool and said the knock-on effect for the top four race below United is “everyone else’s problem”.
West Ham are still hopeful of finishing in the top four, though they are now five points behind the fourth-placed Foxes after losing 1-0 at home to Everton last weekend.
Speaking about the fixtures schedule, Moyes said: "It was really interesting when we were coming back (from the coronavirus lockdown), a lot was made about integrity.
"Ole can do what he likes with his team, but I don’t know if there was a better way to sort the fixtures out.
"Manchester United can always put out a strong team."
"The Premier League should be answering these questions," he responded when asked if the schedule questioned the competition's integrity.
On West Ham’s Champions League hopes, Moyes added: "Our chances of the Champions League are looking slim, but we'll keep fighting.
"I’d set my target and I knew where we had to go, and defeat might be costly for us but you never know in football, we might be saying something different in time."
Manchester United 's match against Liverpool was re-arranged after the initial fixture was postponed on Sunday, May 2, after mass protests outside Old Trafford against the Glazer family.
