David Moyes provides West Ham injury news ahead of Premier League clash with Liverpool

David Moyes revealed that following the trip to Genk he has no new injury concerns ahead of the clash with Liverpool at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Nikola Vlasic and Andriy Yarmolenko were left at home ahead of the Europa League clash due to minor injury concerns but this was only a precautionary measure with a hectic fixture list ahead.

Both players will link up with Croatia and Ukraine respectively after the Liverpool clash for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers and could be in contention for the matchday squad on Sunday.

Moyes confirmed he has a near fully fit squad to choose from when he names his team to face Jurgen Klopp's men with just a few 'knocks and niggles' to contend with.

"At the moment we seem ok. Yarmolenko had a bit of an injury before we left, Vlasic as well. We'll see how they are. It's a quick turnaround between the games but hopefully we'll be ok," Moyes said in his pre-match press conference.

Unlike West Ham Liverpool have a number of injury concerns ahead of the match with Roberto Firmino not expected to play following a hamstring injury he picked up in the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.

"Bobby [Firmino] is not good news with a serious hamstring injury, really unfortunate. We don’t know exactly how long he will be out but it will be not now after the international break directly. We have to work on that," Klopp told the club website.

The German added that he will also be without Curtin Jones and Joe Gomez: "Curtis is a completely different story [to Firmino], he was very unlucky in training – he got a finger that scratched the eye. I had a lot of injuries to players in my career, that was not involved. He is on the way back but we have to see how long exactly.

"He will be back after the international break, for sure, but in the international break we have to see when he can start doing proper stuff again."

Liverpool will have the talents of Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara available for selection after their own injury issues.

"Very important, you see that. Fab was clear – he was not that long out – that he can maybe go, how we decided then 60 minutes," Klopp said.

"And swapping that with Thiago was probably exactly the right thing to do, now they should be both a big step ahead, so all good."
