David Moyes provides Craig Dawson and Lukasz Fabianski updates ahead of Nottingham Forest clash

West Ham United boss David Moyes has provided a team news update ahead of Sunday’s meeting with Nottingham Forest.

The Hammers go in search of their first points of the season this weekend away at newly-promoted Nottingham Forest at the City Ground but have a number of injury concerns ahead of Sunday afternoon’s kick-off.

Centre-backs Craig Dawson (thigh) and Angelo Ogbonna (knee/fitness) both missed the defeat to Manchester City last weekend, while goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and striker Michail Antonio both sustained knocks in the tie.

Speaking ahead of the game, Moyes has provided encouraging updates on Dawson and Ogbonna, although the latter is still making progress following a ruptured cruciate ligament injury last November and is still not ready for consideration.

“It will probably be the same group of players roughly as last week,” said Moyes.

“Daws (Craig Dawson) is doing well, so we will see how he is. Angelo Ogbonna is coming back, he’s coming on from his cruciate, so hopefully we will have more squad players fit.

“Lukasz (Fabianski) has got a knock, we don’t know how he’s going to be yet. Micky Antonio had a bit of a knock as well, but he’s trained today so we expect him to be okay.”

Winger Maxwel Cornet is also expected to make his debut for the Hammers following his £17.5million arrival from Burnley a week ago.
