David Moyes outlines fear over plan for Premier League football return

Former Everton manager David Moyes has outlined concerns over potential injuries to players if Premier League football is rushed back.

The Scot, now in charge at West Ham, believes teams should have four weeks to ready themselves if a solution is announced to end the current suspension of action due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking on beIN Sports, Moyes said: "I think that four weeks would be ideal.

"But I think three weeks will be the maximum we get.

"Everybody's now talking about the injuries we're liable to pick up either during the three-week preparation time or during the period where it looks like we'll have to play an awful lot of games in a short period of time."

The top flight has been suspended since March 13th - with clubs remaining committed to resume once it is safe to do so.

Plenty of reports have emerged with apparent plans on how the Premier League campaign could be brought to an end.

A recent piece in The Times suggested Wembley could host as many as four matches a day to help bring the term to a swift conclusion.

It also claimed that St George's Park, England’s National Football Centre, could be made available - with clubs able to use it as a quarantined training base in order to keep players and staff together.
