David Moyes has Erling Haaland wish ahead of West Ham vs Man City

West Ham United manager David Moyes is hopeful Erling Haaland hasn't hit his stride when Manchester City visit the London Stadium on Sunday.

Haaland joined City from Borussia Dortmund in the close season and made an instant impact on his first appearance in pre-season with the winner against Bayern Munich in Green Bay. The 22-year-old made his first appearance for City in England during last weekend's Community Shield vs Liverpool.

Despite playing the full 90 minutes, Haaland failed to find the back of the net with Jurgen Klopp's team winning 3-1 at Leicester City's King Power Stadium. Haaland missed a routine chance in injury time and Moyes hopes the Norwegian doesn't find form against his West Ham team.

Moyes said in his pre-match press conference: "What Man City have added is a prolific goalscorer, maybe the most up and coming young striker not just in this country, but in the world, so it'll be interesting. But yet he has still to come to the Premier League.

"Quite often a lot of the overseas players take a bit of time to settle, so I hope that's the case on Sunday." City's game at West Ham kicks off at 4:30pm this Sunday.
