David Moyes 'guarantees' Eddie Howe will do a good job at Newcastle United

David Moyes believes Eddie Howe is the "right fit" for Newcastle ahead of his proposed appointment.

The former Bournemouth boss has been in talks with the Magpies new hierarchy and has impressed the the Newcastle bosses.

It's believed Howe will take over at St. James' Park following on from a three week hunt for Steve Bruce's successor.

The Newcastle managerial position has been the talk of the Premier League after the completion of the Magpies takeover.

The Toon have been linked with a whole host of big names; Antonio Conte, Xavi, Joachim Low and Unai Emery, all of whom have reportedly turned down the role.

Emery's decision to stay at Villareal saw Howe become the bookmakers favourite to take over on Tyneside.

West Ham boss David Moyes is the latest manager to heap praise on the former Bournemouth boss.

Speaking to Football London at his press conference this afternoon, Moyes said: "Eddie Howe is a really good manager and is the right fit.

"He did a great job at Bournemouth and I guarantee that he will do a good job at Newcastle."
