David Moyes drops West Ham selection hint ahead of Brentford FA Cup third round fixture

David Moyes has hinted that West Ham United will play a rotated side against Brentford in the FA Cup Third Round.

The Hammers will travel to the Gtech Stadium on Saturday evening (5.30pm) looking to get revenge from their 2-0 defeat just eight days ago in the Premier League.

Following the 2-2 draw against Leeds United in midweek, Moyes' side halted a five-game losing streak but have now gone six matches without a win.

The cup fixture on Saturday represents not only a chance to get back to winning ways but to progress in a cup competition they have not won since 1980, though they did reach the final in 2006.

However, Moyes has said that he will 'give as many players an opportunity' this weekend when asked if he was tempted to field a full-strength team as he tries to turn the team's recent form around.

"I’m actually tempted to give as many players an opportunity as I can," said Moyes. "That’s what I'm thinking. At the moment we are trying to find a winning formula. We are getting closer to getting it. We are not miles off.

"We roughly think we know what would be the best but if your best is not winning then you have to try and find something else. We are looking around. We might change it around a bit. I think you will find a lot of premier league clubs change it around at this stage of the cup."
