West Ham manager Davd Moyes has warned Hammers fans that they could up end up with no more new faces in the squad when the January window closes on the 31st of the month.
Moyes said at his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Leicester City on Wednesday that there is no update in the chase to bolster his squad before the window closes at the end of January despite wanting a new midfielder, striker and potentially a full back.
So far, it is just one new arrival this winter in the form of Darren Randolph, the backup goalkeeper who signed from Middlesbrough a week ago for a reported £4m.
But with ten days of the window to go, Moyes made an admission that while he wants "at least" one new player, the club might well end up with no more additions to Randolph.
The Hammers manager said: "We've been linked with quite a few [players] so identifying just one would be wrong, you could name ten or twelve.
"Obviously we will try to add one player, maybe two at a push but there is a good chance we couldn't get anybody, like most clubs."
West Ham missed out on midfielder Gedson Fernandes, who has signed for Spurs on an 18-month loan deal and the club has been linked with moves for Genk's Sander Berge, Stoke's Joe Allen, Roma's Steven N'Zonzi and AC Milan's Franck Kessie.
Football.London understands the links to N'Zonzi are wide of the mark as the manager wants to bring in younger players to his squad in their battle against the drop.
