David Moyes delivers West Ham injury update ahead of Everton clash

West Ham United manager David Moyes has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of his team's Premier League clash against Everton on Saturday.

The Hammers could be without up to seven players for the match, with Jack Wilshere, Ryan Fredericks, Lukasz Fabianski and Andriy Yarmolenko all ruled out with various problems.

Michail Antonio has also missed the last two Premier League games with a thigh injury, but Moyes has confirmed that the winger is getting closer to returning, although he is unlikely to feature against the Toffees.

"[Michail] Antonio joined in a little bit this morning but I don’t think he will make this weekend," he said in his pre-match press conference.

Filipe Anderson picked up a back injury in the last Premier League game against Sheffield United, and Moyes has said that he too may not be ready in time for the weekend's game, while also providing an update on Arthur Masuaku.

"Felipe Anderson might miss out, he’s a doubt. Had a bad fall with ten to go against Sheffield United," he added.

"Arthur Masuaku has a bit of fluid in his knee so we will see how he is."

It was feared that goalkeeper Fabianski could be out for another extended period after being forced from the field against the Blades, however, there was positive news over his condition, meaning that he will only need a short spell on the sidelined.

"It’s great news to find out that he’s only out for a few weeks," Moyes said.
