David Moyes confirms West Ham transfer stance on Manchester United target Declan Rice

David Moyes has confirmed West Ham value Manchester United target Declan Rice at more than £100million.

The Manchester Evening News understands United's priority is signing a midfielder this summer and that Rice is on a transfer shortlist at the club, having won admirers at Old Trafford over the last few years thanks to his performances for West Ham and England.

However, Rice is contracted at West Ham until 2024 and that gives the London club the power in negotiations for the player.

West Ham are aware of growing interest in Rice and Moyes has regularly been asked about his star midfielder.

Moyes was asked about Rice again on Monday and he confirmed that West Ham's valuation of Rice is in excess of £100m.

"I think I have said everything I have to say about Declan from that point," Moyes said.

"We have spoken enough about him, he is a really important player for West Ham someone we value greatly, and you can see what he means to the team. He's a really good individual and we're enjoying having him.

"Well, yeah [Rice worth more than £100m]."

Rice recently claimed that Old Trafford is one of his 'favourite' places to play.
