David Moyes claims Manchester United haven't moved on since his sacking

David Moyes believes Manchester United are in a similar position now as they were when he joined the club in 2013.

The former Everton manager was hired as Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement after he announced his retirement but things didn't go to plan and he was sacked before the end of his first season in charge with Ryan Giggs taking interim charge until Louis van Gaal was hired ahead of the next campaign.

Since Van Gaal, Jose Mourinho was hired and then sacked in December before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was given the permanent manager's job in March.

But Moyes, who is currently without a club, believes that despite spending millions and going through three different managers since his departure that they haven't progressed.

"I feel that since I took over to where they are just now, I don’t think there’s an awful lot of difference," Moyes said on TalkSport.

Manchester United might have already made two key signings

“When I took over it was needing a change and needing a turnaround of players, and that was all going to take time. I feel like in the four years or so since I was managing there, it’s probably not moved on much more.

“It’s quite similar, they’re still saying there needs to be changes and has to be things done.

“That time since I felt hasn’t been used awfully well.”
