David Moyes suggests Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is only succeeding at Manchester United because he has actually been given time to turn things around at the club.
The Norwegian manager has guided United to second in the Premier League this season with one of their most competitive title challenges since Sir Alex Ferguson retired eight years ago.
Moyes was initially chosen to replace the legendary Scot at Old Trafford but was sacked just 10 months into a six-year contract at Old Trafford.
The current West Ham manager has previously claimed he was not given enough time to turn things around at United, something which Solskjaer certainly is getting.
Speaking ahead of the FA Cup meeting between the two sides on Tuesday night Moyes praised the United manager, but appeared to aim a sly dig at his former employers be emphasising the trust they have put in the Norwegian.
"Given the time that he's been given, he's started to mould together a really young, exciting team," Moyes stated at his pre-match press conference.
"They've had a couple of really good players come through their academy and brought in a couple of players to help their team also.
"I think they're building a nice team and the time Ole's been given to do that has helped."
