David Moyes aims postponement dig at Manchester United and Arsenal before West Ham game

David Moyes has fired a dig at Manchester United and their other top four rivals prior to West Ham playing their third game in under a week.

The North London derby was postponed on Saturday after Arsenal lodged a request to the Premier League to cancel their clash after a collection of injuries, Covid-19 cases and participants at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Moyes ' side have suffered with injury problems of their own and saw their whole back line out of action during their blip in November and December.

Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna have both missed a number of matches this season but the Hammers haven't had a game postponed.

Speaking to Sky Sports when asked if his players might be tired, Moyes said: "Well we try not to tell them that, we're trying to keep going as much as we can and we're thankful that they are, they're a resilient bunch that have kept going. We've had injuries, Covid as well for some reason we've not had enough to get any games off."

United had two of their fixtures postponed after a Covid outbreak, with matches against Brentford and Brighton forced to be rearranged.

Arsenal played 10 first-team players in midweek as they held Liverpool to a goalless draw in the Carabao Cup semi-final despite playing with a man disadvantage for over an hour.

Moyes will be hoping he can maintain the health of his players as he returns to Old Trafford on Saturday where they will be looking to extend their cushion in the final Champions League spot.
