David Moyes has agreed a fresh three-year deal at West Ham, with the club set to confirm the new contract by Saturday.

The Scot has been in talks with Hammers co-owner David Sullivan since sealing a sixth-placed finish at the end of last season with the club's highest-ever Premier League points tally.

Moyes's former club Everton had been interested in discussing a potential return to Goodison Park following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, but having guided West Ham into the Europa League for next season, the 58-year-old had no intention of leaving east London.

West Ham are also finalising the details of new deals for Moyes's backroom staff to follow the confirmation of his own new contract at the London Stadium, though they are not expected to announce a replacement for Alan Irvine this weekend.

It was confirmed at the end of last season that Irvine, Moyes's No2, would step back into a consultancy role due to personal reasons. Former coach Billy McKinlay has been considered for the post.

Moyes is working for Uefa as a technical advisor during the European Championship but has a clear plan of how to take the Hammers forward having secured European football.

Fringe players such as Andriy Yarmolenko, Felipe Anderson and potentially Manuel Lanzini are likely to be sold, while a striker, defender and central midfielder are on the wanted list.
