Running back David Montgomery, who was limited in practice this week with an ankle injury, is active and expected to play Sunday night against the Rams.

There were no surprises on the inactive list announced 90 minutes prior to kickoff: linebacker Danny Trevathan, tight end Adam Shaheen and linebacker Isaiah Irving are injured. The other inactive players are cornerback Duke Shelley, guard Alex Bars, defensive lineman Abdullah Anderson and wide receiver Riley Ridley.

On Saturday, the team put tight end Trey Burton on injured reserve, ending his season, and promoted outside linebacker James Vaughters.

Bears coach Matt Nagy characterized Montgomery’s injury, which was suffered in practice Wednesday, as a slightly rolled ankle. He did not practice Thursday and was limited Friday, when the coach called him a game-time decision.
