David Luiz tells his Chelsea team mates what they must do to win the Europa League this season

David Luiz has told his Chelsea team mates what they must do to win the Europa League this season - realise that the route to the final won't be like a bunch of flowers.

The Blues are in the quarter finals stage and are hoping to repeat their success of lifting the trophy like they did in 2013 when they beat Benfica in the final in Amsterdam, but first they must navigate their way past Slavia Prague.

So far for Maurizio Sarri's team it's been fairly plain sailing - they haven't lost a single game they've played in the competition, winning nine of the ten matches, scoring 25 goals in the process.

They have a good route to the final in Baku too - if they come through against Slavia Prague they will face the winner of Benfica and Eintracht Frankfurt's tie for a place in the final, avoiding the likes of Arsenal, Napoli, Villarreal and Valencia until the final game.

David Luiz was part of the Chelsea side that won both the Champions League and Europa League and he has told his knowledge to his team mates what this current crop of players will have to do to repeat those success come May.

Speaking to Chelsea's official website, he said: "To understand we have to be ready for every single moment.

"Bad moments can arrive, emotional moments can arrive, hard moments can arrive, and we have to be ready for that. To win a tournament is not just flowers.

"I have learned a lot in my career, and football is nice because there is always something new, and you also have to be ready for that.
