'David Luiz saw this coming!' - Arsenal fans mock Chelsea after Manchester United hammering

Frank Lampard's first competitive game in charge of Chelsea did not exactly go to plan this afternoon (Sunday), as the Europa League winners were thrashed 4-0 by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

An opening weekend rout for United gave Lampard a heavy defeat in his first competitive match in the Blues' dugout and raised the pressure ahead of the midweek clash with Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup.

To make matters worse, the embarrassing result came on the back of selling David Luiz to rivals Arsenal on transfer deadline day - which Chelsea fans claimed on social media was a good deal for their defence.

With the likes of Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen on the books, the Brazilian was seen as expendable - but the result at Old Trafford suggests otherwise.

Zouma was criticised by former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho after his error in the first half, as he conceded the penalty from which Marcus Rashford opened the scoring for the hosts.

And the in the second half, with Chelsea conceding three further goals as Anthony Martial and Daniel James got on the scoresheet, either side of Rashford's second goal as Manchester United ran riot against the sorry Blues.

Naturally, Arsenal fans were quick to jump on social media to mock their London counterparts and certainly believe their deal has left their rivals weaker.
