David Luiz has told Chelsea fans that the result of his contract negotiations with the club will be revealed in 'five days'.
The 32-year-old 's current deal with the Blues runs out this summer and negotiations had been ongoing with the club, with Maurizio Sarri keen to keep the centre-back who has been crucial in his tenure so far in all competitions.
Having been left out in the cold by Antonio Conte last season, Luiz has played 35 Premier League matches and last night made a crucial block off the line and scored his penalty in the Europa League semi-final win against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Sarri revealed last week that Luiz had been in talks with the Blues over a new deal, but while Luiz was coy over the talks he admitted that all will be revealed very soon.
"I live in this club so I can come here every single day," Luiz said. "Soon everybody is going to know. It will be before the Europa League Final – in five days.
"I just try to my best and make them happy. Nobody wants to play in an empty stadium, when you have an opportunity to understand that we play for them."
