I was on the massage table on Monday when the dreaded call came through from Danny Buderus.
'Bad news Klem - you've been charged', he told me. I couldn't believe it because I didn't have a clue what I'd done wrong. When he said to me it was a contrary conduct charge, my immediate thought was 'did I give the referee a serve'.
Normally after a game, it you have been put on report for something or you remember doing something that was missed on the field, you are on tender hooks that night hoping it's not a suspension the next day.
With this one, I had no inkling, even after I was told about the charge. When I did see the replay, I couldn't believe it. I'd reacted to some treatment in a tackle and being held down by flaying my arm around and I had connected with Luke Thompson.

He didn't react at all and it's something that happens in every second tackle. I don't know how many times I've been hit by a stray elbow or forearm when I have tackled someone and they have been struggling to get up.
The upshot is I've been hit with a week's suspension with plenty of carry-over points hanging over me and through something pretty innocuous in my opinion, I've let all the other boys down at a crucial stage of the season.
It's been suggested to me the match review committee boys may have been looking at me more closely and putting me under the microscope after what happened with Andrew Fifita against the Sharks the previous week. He ran into an accidental elbow from me when he came in to make a tackle on me which put him in hospital and then in a coma which was scary stuff.
Even though it was one of those things that can happen in footy, I obviously still felt really bad about it and being a father like he is, I was really worried for him and his family. I sent him and his wife messages and I'm really happy to see him come through it and be on the mend.
Who knows whether they were looking at me more closely for that reason. I'd like to think that's not the case.
As it stands, to be out for tonight's vital game against the Titans with DSaf still sidelined is a huge disappointment for me given the importance of the game.
A win puts us in the finals but a loss will potentially leave us with a pressure, crunch game against a vastly improved Broncos in the final round.
The key for us against the Titans will be to really attack them with our defence. They love throwing the ball around and all the fancy stuff in attack like throwing it wide from the kick-off.
They have got us in the past with their expansive game but it's a tactic prone to errors if we can get up in their face and frustrate them.
As for our attack, patience and pressure will be our focus with the footy.
