David Johnson declares himself the best RB in the NFL

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson was considered arguably the NFL’s best running back in the NFL after a 2016 season in which he flirted with reaching 1,000 yards in both rushing and receiving, led the league with more than 2,000 yards from scrimmage and led the league in touchdowns.

However, he was hurt for almost all 2017 and was ineffective in a scheme that did not utilize him well in 2018.

Now, many have lost faith in him.

He has not lost an ounce of confidence. He believes he is the No. 1 running back in the league.

“There are a lot of good running backs but I’m (the) best,” he said on “Good Morning Football,” as shared by the NFL’s Twitter account.

In a new offense created by offensive guru Kliff Kinsgbury, Johnson believes he will put up great numbers.

And while some will assuredly disagree with what he said, he tweeted this:

He should believe that and carry himself like that. Now, with a new offense that should give him plenty of opportunities to shine, he needs to back it up and prove it.

No Cardinals fan should be upset with that.
