As autobiographies go, Sir David Jason’s first two were the crème de la menthe.
So in a move worthy of his Only Fools and Horses character Del Boy, he is now flogging his third.
And the book, which comes after the star turned 80 in February, is guaranteed to make us feel cushty in this time of national gloom.
A Del of a Life will cover more of his early days and 50-year entertainment career.
David said: “I enjoyed reminiscing for my first two books and it is rewarding to think readers will look forward to more amusing stories and insights.”

David, who played Del in the BBC sitcom from 1981 to 2003, has sold over 750,000 copies of 2013 autobiography My Life and 2018 follow-up Only Fools and Stories.
He also played Detective Jack Frost in hit ITV drama A Touch Of Frost from 1992 to 2010.
And last month he hinted he would like Frost to come back, saying: “He was such a rewarding character to play.”
His first two autobiographies, My Life, published in 2013, and Only Fools And Stories, published in 2018 have sold more than 750,000 copies.
A Del Of A Life: Lessons I’ve Learned, covers his 50-year career from trainee electrician to celebrated actor, sharing “heartfelt and hilarious wisdom… on subjects ranging from family to work, resilience to ebullience”.
