David Jason 'falls asleep' on This Morning with Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby in hysterics

Sir David Jason left hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby in disbelief and viewers at home in hysterics when he appeared to fall asleep live on This Morning on Thursday.

The national treasure, famous for his star turns in the likes of Only Fools and Horses and Touch of Frost, joined Holly and Phillip for a chat about his illustrious career, but the presenters also had the more pressing matter of a game of Spin to Win to manage. This Morning's daily segment has a habit of not going to plan and, unfortunately for Holly and Phillip, things didn't run smoothly on Thursday when callers failed to pick up the phone.

And, as they willed someone to answer, the camera cut to David who was sitting on the sofa across from them with his eyes closed. As Phillip and Holly kicked off the game, David sarcastically quipped: "They're all standing by their phones," but seemed disinterested in how things turned out as he then took a snooze as the chaos unfolded.

On clocking David grabbing forty winks, Phillip started laughing, joking: "We haven't got time to muck about!"

Thankfully, Sir David was wide awake for his interview, in which he spoke to Phillip and Holly about his shock and pride at Only Fools and Horses' iconic yellow car featuring in the Queen's Platinum Jubilee pageant, as the two presenters shared their love for the legendary BBC comedy.
