David Healy says 'consistency' was key behind Kirk Millar's new contract

Linfield boss David Healy says Kirk Millar's 'consistency' earned him a new contract with the club.

The Blues have announced that the winger has agreed a one-year extension to his current deal.

The new terms will take Millar up to the summer of 2024.

The 28-year-old has played over 270 games for the Windsor Park club, and this season has scored five goals in 21 appearances.

“I’m delighted to be able to advise our supporters that we’ve been able to agree a further one year contract extension with Millar," David Healy told Linfield's website.

"The extra year will take Kirk’s contract to the end of the 2023/24 season and I’m really pleased to say that the new extended contract has been signed.

"Kirk has been a hugely important player for us and I believe he will continue to play a significant role for us in the future.

"His consistent performances have earned this award of a new contract and I know this news will go down well with our supporters.”
