David Hasselhoff is looking to buy sheep farm in countryside with Brit wife

David Hasselhoff is looking to buy a sheep farm in the country – so fans don’t flock to hassle him.

The former Baywatch star is house-hunting near the border of England and Wales with his Welsh wife Hayley.

The Hoff, currently appearing in Dolly Parton musical 9 to 5 in the West End of London, said: “I want to get a bit of land and a couple of sheep and call them Me and Ewe.

“It’s a new life for me and I can’t wait. I’ll have a couple of cats and a couple of dogs.

“I found a place way out in the woods with a Jacuzzi, away from everything, and I said, ‘Oh my God, this is me’. It’s a different lifestyle, I can just lay back. I can hike and get away from being David Hasselhoff and just be a person.”

Hayley, 39, is handling their search while David is on stage.

He says people in his wife’s homeland do not treat him like a star.

“They welcome me as one of their own,” he revealed.

Their current home is in Calabasas, California, which was recently devastated by wild fires. They were among thousands forced to flee.

David said: “We had to evacuate for a month. We live in the woods, so I expected my house to burn down. But the fire jumped to the other side of the freeway. We were very lucky.”

David, 67, was once the most watched man on TV – 1980s hit Knight Rider was followed by even wider fame in Baywatch.

He also had a successful pop career, and released album Open Your Eyes last year.

With seven shows a week on stage, he says he is fitter than ever.

David added: “I’ll work until 90 and I’ll die in motion… and I’ll die laughing.”
