David Guetta: One Love

Every so often, house music and hip-hop overlap as adventurous practitioners fuse the sounds of dancefloor and street corner, with mixed results. The latest house producer to exploit this is David Guetta, the Paris DJ who churns out huge summer dance hits in time for the Ibiza season. His fourth album has vocals from Will.I.Am, Akon and Estelle, but it would be a stretch to call these collaborations adventurous. They are smooth, box-ticking club tracks that won't alienate Balearic audiences, and only "On the Dancefloor" taps the bonkers energy of Armand van Helden's recent fling with Dizzee Rascal.
