David Ginola says hardest thing about I'm A Celeb was missing sex with his girlfriend

David Ginola has claimed the toughest challenge about being on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! for him was 'not being able to have sex with his girlfriend'.

The Frenchman, 54, finished fourth on the show, but revealed he couldn't wait to get back to his regular routine.

David's girlfriend is model Maeva Denat, 32, and it seems like the two will be making the most of their reunion.

The former Spurs and Newcastle United ace has been with Maeva for six years and is the father of the couple's daughter Ever.

After narrowly missing out on a place in Sunday's final, the footballer said: “What I missed most was making love — especially when you do it every day," he told The Sun.

The star was overcome with emotion on the show when he finally received a letter from his girlfriend, having been twice denied before.

In the note, which was hidden in a Christmas tree, Maeva spoke about how much their daughter Ever was missing her famous father.

She wrote: “My love, I miss you more with every second that passes.

“The time is so long, we can’t wait for you to come back to us. There is a big void at home without you. Everything is fine here. Ever asks after you every day, she misses you so much.

“She loves her daddy very, very much. Ever and I watch you on TV as often as possible. I love to see you support your campmates and take care of Danny.

“It is so you. Kind, reliable, strong, solid, empathetic. Be brave my man, even though I have no doubt of it.

“I love you more and more. You are my superhuman. Your Ever and your Maeva.”

After hearing his girlfriend's heartfelt tribute, David gushed: “I’m a lucky guy."

The couple first met at a restaurant in Cannes on the same day the former Spurs player suffered a near-fatal heart attack during a charity game in 2016.

They lived in London while he was divorcing his model ex-wife Coraline but recently moved to the South of France to be closer to their families.

Maeva, who was born in Marseilles, has told friends she has never met a man like David.

A source told the Mirror: “Maeva and David are deeply in love so anything is possible."

Despite living in France, David has said he will stay in touch with his campmates.

Speaking to the Mirror he said: “I will meet Naughty Boy first because we arranged to see each other in January. And Daniel Miller is getting married in July so I hope I am going to be there for his wedding."
