David Gandy has joked he is “outnumbered” after becoming a father for the first time with girlfriend Stephanie Mendoros.
The couple welcomed daughter Matilda last week, with Gandy telling fans they are both doing “incredibly well”.
Gandy announced the news on Instagram on Wednesday, posting a picture of himself carrying his newborn in a papoose.
“Daddy, Dora and our new addition daughter Matilda out for our first dog walk together this morning,” he wrote.
“Gorgeous Baby Matilda was born last week, both mother and baby doing incredibly well. Only worrying thing is I’m now totally outnumbered by females in my house!”
Gandy revealed in September that he and Mendoros, a barrister, were “expecting our first in November”.
He told Mail Online: “We’re both thrilled. Absolutely delighted. It’s our first. It’s all very new to us. We’re taking every day and week as it comes. It should be fun.”
Gandy, who dated Saturdays singer Mollie King, previously opened up about being a family man, joking he wasn’t going to try and beat his sister’s record of five children.
“I have five nephews and nieces,” he told Mail Online. “We have great fun together bouncing around on the trampoline when I go to visit them. Dora too.
“They all want to play. I've seen them growing up. I’m definitely not going to try and beat that record.”
