David Foster's three daughters have joked that the biggest problem they have with their step mum is 'how hot she is'.
The iconic songwriter, 70, tied the knot with the 36-year-old American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee over a year ago, and it seems the family have really hit it off.
Sitting down for an interview with People magazine, David's daughters Sarah, 39, Erin, 37, and Jordan, 34, had nothing but praise for Katharine - despite them being around the same age.
During their interview, the trio also revealed they were envious of Katharine's amazing bikini figure.
"Our biggest issue with (Katharine) is how hot she is,” Erin jokingly told the publication.
She continued: “Her body is insane. When she comes over for family Sundays, I’m like, ‘Do not get in a bikini.’ My husband’s always like, ‘Kat, get in the pool!’ And I’m like, ‘Simon …’"
Jordan even teased that her two-year-old son even ogles Katharine.
During their interview, David's daughters also addressed the age difference between their father and Katharine.
"Interestingly, the age difference has played a role in a positive way,” Erin said.
"Our dad comes from a generation where women are more passive. He is also passive about his feelings. Kat has really pushed him to open up. We could get into a fight, and then Kat’s like, ‘No, you have to pick up the phone, call your daughter back.’"
"She’s a facilitator, which is really important. She pushes him to be more emotional and more vulnerable," Erin praised.
Katharine became David's fifth wife in 2019 - a year after the producer had finalised his divorce from fourth wife Yolanda Foster.
Speaking about her lavish wedding day, the songstress touchingly revealed that they had chosen a special date to tie the knot.
"Exactly 13 years ago today my very first single, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, was released right after Idol.
"Today... I'm marrying the man who produced it. Life is full of beautiful coincidences, isn't it? Thank you for taking me over the rainbow, David," she wrote at the time.
