David De Gea to 'walk out on Man Utd' if they fail to match PSG's £350k-a-week offer

David De Gea will walk out on Manchester United this summer if they fail to offer him a £350,000-a-week contract, according to reports.

Spanish keeper De Gea has made the wage demands with his contract set to run out next summer and French giants Paris Saint-Germain are willing to shell out on the massive request.

Money bags PSG are likely to have an opening for a new keeper with 40-year-old Gianluigi Buffon coming to the end of his career.

The French champions' interest could mean a transfer this summer - with United desperate not to see one of their prized possessions leave for free in 12 months.

United have taken up the extra year option on De Gea's last contract, with his deal originally set to expire at the end of this season.

But talks on further extending his stay in Manchester have apparently hit the buffers, according to the Sun.

In his Thursday press conference, Solskjaer was asked about United's current contract talks - with Ander Herrera and Juan Mata also locked in conversations.

"Well you have to ask them," Solskjaer said. "But to know who's the manager of the club is next season is, of course, helpful for any player to decide where he wants to play.

"We've got a couple of players we're in talks with and hopefully we can get their futures sorted."

De Gea has been long linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Real Madrid a long-term admirer.

Los Blancos almost completed a transfer in 2013, with Keylor Navas primed to travel in the opposite direction, but a fax machine fault on deadline scupper the move.

The shotstopper move to United from Atletico Madrid for £22.5million in 2011 and has been one of their most consistently brilliant performers in a turbulent period.

He has played 353 times for the club, winning the Premier League in 2013, along with an FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.

After a disappointing World Cup in Russia last summer, De Gea has kept his head down in the Premier League - but has still managed seven clean sheets in 30 appearances in the division.

He has also managed three shut outs in the Champions League - with United set to face Barcelona in the quarter-finals.
