David de Gea provides update on Manchester United's Victor Lindelof after substitution

David de Gea has confirmed Victor Lindelof had difficulty breathing in Manchester United's match against Norwich.

Lindelof received treatment just after the 70-minute mark on Saturday evening and he looked to be in some discomfort in his chest area. United's medical staff then decided to remove Lindelof from the match and Eric Bailly came on to replace the Swede.

De Gea was close to Lindelof as he appeared in discomfort and he provided an update on the centre-back after the match.

"Yeah [being concerned], especially when we've seen some players feeling a bit with their breathing," De Gea told Sky Sports.

"We saw Eriksen, Aguero, so sometimes it's a bit difficult to see a player acting like this.

"It was better to change and I hope it's completely fine.

"As soon as it was difficult breathing, the game doesn't matter, it's about life, to be safe."

United play Brentford on Tuesday and further updates on Lindelof from the club will come in due course.
